8 Recipes You Can Make with a Blender

A blender is able to cook and blend at the same time. Thanks to this particularity, it is able to make many recipes, each one as delicious as the other. It is a practical device for working mothers to prepare some dishes. Here are 8 recipes that can be made with a blender.

Recipe blender heating

A vegetable soup

The ingredients are: 3 carrots, 2 potatoes (one small and one normal), 1/3 of butternut. You will also need an onion and 4 cloves of garlic. Chicken broth (800 ml or more, depending on the consistency you want), salt and pepper.

First, wash the vegetables and onion and cut them into pieces. For the garlic cloves, remove their jackets, leaving them whole.
Then, put them all in the bowl of the blender and add the broth and pepper.

Close the lid and program the blender at 100°C for 25 minutes. Afterwards, you can adjust the seasoning by adding salt and the consistency by adding broth. Finally, serve the soup hot.

A pumpkin soup

Among the ingredients: 500 g of pumpkin, 2 potatoes, 1 onion and 200 ml of fresh cream. 600 ml of chicken stock, salt and pepper are also needed.

Start by peeling the first 3 ingredients mentioned above. Then dice them up and place them in the blender. Add the remaining ingredients (except for the cream) and select the “velvety” function.

Finally, pour in the cream and blend for a few seconds. Serve hot.

A potato purée

2 ingredients for this recipe: 200 g of potatoes and water.

First, wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into small 1 cm cubes and place them in the steamer basket.

Pour the water into the bowl, place the steamer basket on top and close the lid.

After cooking, replace the excess water in the bowl (if any) with the cooked potatoes. Close the lid and blend.

A duck parmentier

Ingredients: a can of duck confit (about 400 g) and 1 kg of potatoes. Add to this 200 ml of milk, 50 g of butter and a small clove of garlic.

Prepare mashed potatoes as mentioned above.

Meanwhile, take the duck confit out of the can (with the minimum of fat). Place it on a plate and put it in the oven at 150 °C for 15 minutes.

Then, separate it into crumbs after the skin and bones are removed. Mix it with the chopped garlic.

Place a layer of duck between 2 layers of mashed potatoes in a dish. Put it in the oven at 180 °C for 30 minutes and enjoy it hot.

This is a recipe that can be prepared for the Christmas holidays or a Sunday with the family to enjoy.

Recipe for a hot blender

A smoothie

A recipe with just as ingredients: fruits (or vegetables) of your choice and some liquids (water, yogurt, milk, etc.). Don’t forget the ice cubes.

Mix in the blender the cut fruits (or vegetables) (washed and peeled beforehand) and the chosen liquids. Blend everything together after adding the ice cubes.

To be enjoyed chilled.

A chocolate custard

You will need 30 g of unsweetened cocoa, 40 g of flour and 500 ml of milk. But also 2 egg yolks and 50 g of powdered sugar.

In the bowl, pour 200 ml of milk and add all the other ingredients. Then mix for 20 seconds and add the rest of the milk. Mix for another 20 seconds before baking the mixture at 85°C for 15 minutes. Let it cool and it’s ready.

A strawberry mousse

To make this recipe, you will need 500 g of strawberries and 2 sheets of gelatin. But also 150 g of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. The last ingredient: 250 ml of liquid cream.

First, soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water.

Clean and hull the strawberries before putting them in a blender. Then add the powdered sugar and blend. Then heat the strawberry coulis in a saucepan.

Put the gelatine leaves in the warm coulis after having wrung them out. Mix everything together and set aside.

Take the liquid cream and whip it up. Add the granulated sugar and still beat for one minute.

Spread the coulis on the whipped cream, mix and pour it in verrines. Let stand for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator and enjoy.

Conclusion

To make it, 1 kg of fruit, 150 g of powdered sugar and 150 ml of vegetable oil are useful.

Peel the fruits and cut them into pieces before freezing them.
